HA Belisarius
A downloadable game
"Battles are won and lost on the basis of positioning and knowledge of the local terrain. Wars are won and lost on the basis of logistics and ensuring that supply lines are protected and efficient."
This quote is of unknown origin, being attributed to any number of highly regarded Armory generals and engineers with some arguing that it predates the Armory entirely. Nevertheless, it has colored much of how Harrison Armory wages war, from its emphasis on reshaping the battlefield in a flood of fire, explosives, or otherwise, to its vast fleet of supply ships that rivals IPS-N's merchant-marine in size.
Of its cavalry line, no mech exemplifies this better than the Belisarius, meant to solve the problem of local guerillas using the environment to their advantage as well as the problem of logistics in one fell swoop. Carrying an integrated flash-printer and a vast suite of field construction options, the Belisarius only needs to import RawMat from any nearby system in order to create a concrete jungle that only its allies know the lay of and stock them with the supplies they need to get back into the fight in a matter of minutes.
The Belisarius has drawn criticism for being a tremendous expense to field even in the post-scarcity of the Core Worlds; the construction of an entire printer, even a minuscule one, is demanding when done at the scale of an entity the size of Harrison Armory. This assessment, while damning on its own, overlooks the RawMat fabs that are erected at worlds on the near end of the Purview's burgeoning borders, much of it earmarked for export to the frontlines.
One noteworthy essay has compared it and its creators to the 'paperclip maximiser' of Old Human legend, building for the sake of building until the whole universe is consumed.
